I have a confession to make.
I really like bad jokes.
Not just good jokes. Not clever jokes. Not sophisticated humor.
I’m talking dad jokes.
The drier, cheesier and more punny, the better.
My absolute favorite?
Where does a king keep his armies?
In his sleevies!
Come on. Now that’s funny. 😂
So when I bought my husband a Bad Dad Joke desk calendar for Christmas in 2020, I thought I’d found the perfect gift.
Little did I know I’d also bought myself a new daily tradition.

In 2021, I started posting the jokes from the calendar on Facebook. At first, it was pretty simple. I was looking for something I could post once in a while—something lighthearted that might get a few reactions or maybe even start a conversation.
And because I was posting on my personal page with my Color Street nails, I’d usually make sure there was at least one painted nail somewhere in the picture.
It was a little bit of fun.
A little bit of content.
And, if someone happened to notice the nails while they were stopping to read the joke, well… that wasn’t exactly a bad thing either. 😉
But then something unexpected happened.
People started enjoying the jokes.
I had friends tell me they were sharing them with their coworkers.
People started reacting to them.
And eventually, people started sending jokes to me.
I’d get tagged in one someone found or receive a message that basically said, “Here is one that made me think of you!”
There’s just something about putting a little silliness out into the world every day. Maybe it makes someone laugh. Maybe it earns an eye roll, or few. My kids DEFINITELY give a bunch of eye rolls. haha
Whatever the reaction, I love knowing that something as simple as a terrible joke can brighten someone’s day for a minute.
And apparently, I wasn’t ready to stop. 😁
Because every Christmas, I buy yet another calendar.
Although I did switch things up for 2026.
Instead of my usual Bad Dad Joke calendar, I bought a Wititudes daily calendar.
And let’s just say…
It’s been a different kind of funny.
Some are clever. Some are ridiculous. Some definitely make me laugh.
And some have been just a little more on the edge than my traditional dad jokes. 😂
There have been a few where I’ve had to stop and think, “Well… are we really posting THAT today?”
But that’s part of the fun.
After all, I never promised good jokes.
Just jokes.
And I’ll keep sharing them because somewhere along the way, this little daily habit became something that brings me joy, too.
I love a good laugh.
I love a terrible pun.
And I especially love knowing that there are people out there who have come to expect their daily dose of silly from me.
So if you’ve ever laughed at one, groaned at one, shared one with a coworker, or sent me one because it made you think of me…
Thank you.
You’ve made my silly little tradition even more fun.
And yes, if you’re paying attention, you may also occasionally notice a little something else in those daily joke photos…..
Peep the nails. 💅🏻
Not only can you enjoy the dad jokes, but you can keep an eye on the manicure and see just how many bad dad jokes one set of nails can survive. 😂
Because apparently, we’re conducting important scientific research over here!

Think you’ve got a joke bad enough that you would like to share? Drop your favorite in the comments or tag me on Facebook when you find one that made you laugh or groan.
The cheesier, the pun-ier, the more groan-worthy…… the better.
And yes… I’ll be here tomorrow with another one.
You’ve been warned. 😜
